APA and Paws 2 Resue are helping starving dogs in Romania this Christmas
Abandoned and Starving Romanian Dogs need your help!
APA is working alongside PAws 2 Rescue to help bring a little warmth to stray and orphaned dogs in Romania this Christmas.
Since urbanisation took place in the late 1980s there has been a huge stray problem in Romania. Dogs were left behind when rural families were forced to move into built up areas and were not allowed to take their pets with them into their new apartments, since this time the dog population has grown into the millions. Although many local Romanian people work tirelessly to provide for these animals there are very limited resources. Public dog shelters are often over-crowded as well as being filthy and cold. The dogs are deprived of food and water and are often unwell or injured and in great pain.
APA students can help the dogs in crisis by donating tins of dog food that will be transported by Paws2Rescue to Romania – it will directly reach the dogs and give them food that they so desperately need.
Paws2Rescue leave Sutton for Romania on the 12th December 2014 in an empty van, to bring back a few lucky Romanian dogs that have been adopted by families in the UK. Working together we want to fill that van up with tins of food for the dogs in Romania.
Please bring your tins to Room B34 by the 10th December 2014.
Sadly, we cannot save every dog, but with your help, we can save as many as we can. Together we are stronger.
