Ark Putney Academy GCSE Results

89% students of gained a C or above in maths and 76% achieved a C or above in English, while 76% of students gained A-C grades in both maths and English. ARK schools spend more time focussing on teaching core subjects such as maths and English.

Alison Downey, Principal at ARK Putney, said:

“This has been a remarkable week for ARK Putney Academy. The students and staff here have proven that, with hard work and high expectations, great improvements can be achieved in a relatively short period of time. As proud as we are of these results, we think this is only the beginning- our ambition is even higher for next year.”

Among ARK Putney’s strongest performers in their GCSEs, the following students did particularly well:

Daniel Ashitey passed 10 GCSEs with 4 A*s, 3 As, 4 Bs and a Distinction in BTEC Businesss Studies. Daniel said “It was an uphill battle moving up a year earlier onto my GCSE’s, but I’m really proud of my results – all the work paid off.”

Francini Nuernberg who passed 12 GCSEs including 3 A*s, 5 As, and 4 Bs including A*s in English Language, Art & Design and Spanish. Francini said: “I’m really happy, because I got an A in Maths and I thought I was only going to get a C!”

Bethany Lennox passes 12 GCSEs including 4 As and 7 Bs with As in English Maths and Art. Bethany said: “I’m really happy, I passed all of my subjects.”
