Y8 Parents Evening

DATE CHANGE: Please note that the date for the Y8 Parents’ Evening has been moved from from Wednesday 13th February to Thursday 7th March 16:00 - 19:00.

Change to Autumn half term holiday 2019

From next academic (starting September 2019) APA will move to a two week October half term holiday.  Please be assured there will be no loss to teaching time as we would return to school straight after the August bank holiday and break up one day later for Christmas. Ark Putney Academy GCSE Results

89% students of gained a C or above in maths and 76% achieved a C or above in English, while 76% of students gained A-C grades in both maths and English. ARK schools spend more time focussing on teaching core subjects such as maths and English.

Alison Downey, Principal at ARK Putney, said:

“This has been a remarkable week for ARK Putney Academy. The students and staff here have proven that, with hard work and high expectations, great improvements can be achieved in a relatively short period of time. As proud as we are of these results, we think this is only the beginning- our ambition is even higher for next year.”

Among ARK Putney’s strongest performers in their GCSEs, the following students did particularly well:

Daniel Ashitey passed 10 GCSEs with 4 A*s, 3 As, 4 Bs and a Distinction in BTEC Businesss Studies. Daniel said “It was an uphill battle moving up a year earlier onto my GCSE’s, but I’m really proud of my results – all the work paid off.”

Francini Nuernberg who passed 12 GCSEs including 3 A*s, 5 As, and 4 Bs including A*s in English Language, Art & Design and Spanish. Francini said: “I’m really happy, because I got an A in Maths and I thought I was only going to get a C!”

Bethany Lennox passes 12 GCSEs including 4 As and 7 Bs with As in English Maths and Art. Bethany said: “I’m really happy, I passed all of my subjects.”
