Sports Day 2014 - Letter to all Parents/Carers.
Re: ARK Putney Academy – Sports Day 2014
Wimbledon Park Running Track
Monday 14th July, 9.00am – 2.00pm.
This year our annual School Sports Day will take place on Monday 14th July at Wimbledon Park, the organisation of the school day will be as follows:
All students should go from home straight to the Athletics Track at Wimbledon Park. They should arrive to be registered in tutor groups by 9.00am at the latest. They will be dismissed at the end of the event at approximately 2.00pm and we will expect them to make their own way home from Wimbledon Park. On the reverse of this letter is a map and directions which will help you advise your child to find their own way there, easily. In the event of rain it is likely that pupils may be sent home earlier.
All pupils will be expected to remain with us for the day supervised by their form tutors. All competitors should be in their APA PE kit. All children should bring a packed lunch and plenty to drink. For pupils who would usually have a free school dinner, a packed lunch will be provided. Sun cream, hats and plenty water is advised.
We expect this to be a very enjoyable event in which all students have been encouraged to participate. All achievements made on the day will be celebrated at end of term assemblies and the results will be published in APA Newsletter and our website at the end of term.
Please help us to make this a successful day by ensuring your child is suitably prepared and knows what to do.
Thank you for your support.
Yours sincerely, Mr J Hayden
Head of PE
