Last week Year 12 students completed their 5 week training programme for the Ministry of Defence with a visit to Whitehall. As part of the 6th form enrichment programme students had been taking part in crisis scenario workshops testing their understanding of government and political roles in international affairs. Their final session based at MOD HQ saw students playing key ministerial and government roles and taking part in a press briefing. This really tested their skills to the limit - requiring acute analytical ability and public speaking. It was also a very rare opportunity for students to see inside the Trafalgar Meeting room and have the opportunity to visit King Henry Viii's wine cellar in the MOD basement!
