Today our students are celebrating excellent A level and BTEC results, with many securing places at top universities.

Students will be going on to study at a variety of top destinations, including Imperial, UCL, Kings, Cardiff, Bath, Exeter and Loughborough to name a few. Quality of destinations were high this year with 24% of students going on to Top 20 institutions.

52% percent of the school’s students achieved grades A* to C. BTEC Business and Sport students also exceeded expectations, with 64% scoring Distinction grades or higher, and securing University placements at top ranking University institutions – a record-breaking figure.

Some students also secured places in sought-after apprenticeships. Student Hana Ayache will be joining QBE Insurance Group as an apprentice Underwriter in September. She says, ‘Throughout 6th form I had the opportunity to meet employers, try different work experience placements and consider different pathways helping me to realise that an apprenticeship was the right one for me. I am really excited for the opportunity to grow and develop new skills and find my specialism within insurance’

Elnaz Bahardoost is also celebrating her place at Kings College London to study Psychology after overcoming significant personal challenges. She says ‘tackling 6th form life and A Level studies as a student within the care system has its challenges as I have so many additional factors to self-manage. I am certain that the bespoke support that I have received at Ark Putney I would not have been offered anywhere else. I’m really proud of my ABB grades and looking forward to the next chapter. My course offers a study abroad year and I can’t wait to explore the world

Inshal Muzaffar has been awarded an Ark bursary to study Psychology. She said, “Mental health is something I am deeply passionate about. I want to help those struggling with mental illness, especially individuals who may not have easy access to support. I believe that with the right care, people can improve their well-being, and I want to be part of that change.”

Themis Grimault celebrates AAAB in Biology, Chemistry, Maths and Further Maths and will study Biochemistry at Imperial University. He says ‘I would like to thank all my teachers and everyone in the Ark Putney community. I am most excited for the opportunities at Imperial, specifically for research and internships. I hope to get a PhD in Genetics and start a research career in genetic engineering for curing inherited diseases’.
