Ark Putney Academy was delighted to welcome the Tesco Fruit for Schools team as part of their nationwide campaign to promote healthy eating among young people. The initiative, which provides free fruit to schools across the UK, including ours, aims to encourage students to make nutritious choices and develop lifelong healthy habits.
Adding extra excitement to the day, comedian and actor Babatunde Aleshe joined the visit, bringing his trademark humour and energy to inspire students. Babatunde spoke about the importance of wellbeing and shared personal stories that resonated with our pupils, making the message of healthy living both fun and relatable.
Students learned about the benefits of incorporating fresh fruit into their daily routines and engaged in lively discussions about sustainability and making positive food choices.
A huge thank you to Tesco and Babatunde for their time and commitment to supporting schools and communities. The event left our students motivated and ready to embrace healthier lifestyles.
