In Further Maths you will cover all the maths units but to a more advanced level. To support this, in Year 12 you will study the full Mathematics course to ensure you have a solid mathematical foundation before tackling the Further Maths modules in Year 13.
- Core Pure: In the compulsory portion of the syllabus you will be introduced to a whole new set of numbers based around the square root of minus 1 and its applications to everything from a mass on a spring to radioactive decay. You will also deepen your understanding of differentiation and integration and begin to see it at play in the world around you.
- We personalise the optional modules of the course depending on the cohort. In previous years we have studied Decision maths, an essential part of computer programming, and Further Statistics, enhancing the tools available to you to effectively analyse the world around you
